August 2025 - Golden Garden

This month marked the second month for Peaceful Parcel, and I’ll admit — creating a second box felt a little intimidating. After the excitement and positive response from our first launch in July, we wanted to make sure this box lived up to the same level of care and delight.

For our small business, still run by just the two of us, reaching 14 boxes this month — double what we shipped in July — felt like a real milestone. It may not sound like a lot, but we were so happy with the progress. Our small corner office at home, with just one shelf of supplies and a single desk for assembling packages, felt full of love.

On packing weekend, our little office came alive. Boxes were lined up neatly across the desk, tissue and crinkle paper ready to be tucked inside, and finished parcels stacked carefully in the corner, ready for their journey. Most of the packaging and packing process remained the same as last month, with one small change: a new sticker for the outside decoration of the box and an alternate insert for this month’s products. It’s still a very hands-on process, but that’s part of what makes it special — every box is prepared personally, with the same excitement we’d feel if we were opening it ourselves.

The theme for August was Golden Garden, inspired by the glow of late-summer afternoons — golden light filtering through the trees, bees humming lazily between flowers, and a chance to slow down just enough to notice the beauty all around you.

When choosing products, we wanted to bring that feeling into everyday life while also supporting small and ethical brands we admire. Here’s what we included this month:

Yes, that is three products from Still Magnolia — we just couldn’t get enough of them! The other brands mentioned were also wonderful to work with.

Altogether, the Golden Garden box carried a value of $86, designed to bring both everyday comfort and small moments of delight.

As Peaceful Parcel grows, I’m reminded that it’s not just about the products — it’s about the intention behind them, the joy we feel while putting them together, and the hope that when each box arrives, it brings a sense of calm and care into someone’s day.
