July 2025 – Breezy Beginnings

About a year ago, in mid-2024, the idea for Peaceful Parcel quietly took root. I found myself feeling stuck in the routine of cubicle life — always busy, rarely taking time for myself, and craving moments of peace and meaning. That’s when this little dream started to form.

Since then, with the support of my life partner, we’ve been slowly working behind the scenes to bring Peaceful Parcel to life, all while balancing my day job and figuring out the many steps it takes to start a business. From certifications and taxes to packaging, product sourcing, pricing, and shipping — it’s been a learning process full of challenges and small victories.

Now, we’re finally ready to share the very first box with you.

Because we’re still small and just getting started, we decided to keep the packaging simple and personal. We chose a 9"x6"x4" kraft box — nothing fancy, just simple, recyclable, and eco-friendly. I made a stencil by tracing some dried lavender, cutting it by hand, and painting it onto each box. The sticker that seals the boxes was designed using Canva and free photos from Unsplash, and we ordered a custom logo stamp from Etsy to add a special finishing touch.

Inside, we stuck to an environmentally friendly theme — using kraft crinkle paper to cushion the items, with lavender-patterned tissue paper sealed with a sticker to give it a little gift-like feel. We also included an informational card, designed and printed by me, which shares the retail value of each product so you can see the care and value packed inside.

This month’s theme was Breezy Beginnings. Here’s what was inside, along with the retail price of each item:

The total value of our first box was $71, or $82 including the free face mask provided in all of the first boxes.

I’m happy to say that our first month of Peaceful Parcel was a success. While we did receive some feedback that some box exteriors arrived a bit battered from the delivery process, everything inside was packaged carefully and stayed safe and intact.

I’m looking forward to growing our small business and helping our customers find their peace — all while continuing to work on finding my own.
