October 2025 - Falling for Fall

October is my favorite time of year — crisp air, cozy layers, and autumn colors everywhere. It’s also my birthday month, which is a bonus! For this box, I wanted to bring in the spirit of fall with a few carefully chosen, seasonal essentials.

Although we were excited to include these cozy fall products, getting them safely delivered to our subscribers wasn’t so easy this month. Let’s talk packaging. When product hunting, I usually make sure to know the dimensions of each item so I can plan if it will fit in our box ahead of time — but October threw us a couple of curveballs.

One of the largest (and most fragile) items we’ve ever included was the Frosted Autumn Leaves Glass Tumbler. When it arrived, I realized that to package it safely alongside our other items, we would need a bigger box. Typically, Peaceful Parcel boxes are 9"x6"x4", but this month we bumped it up to 9"x9"x4". Luckily, we were able to get the new boxes quickly, and our simple design — lavender stencil, stamp, and themed sticker — could be transferred easily to the larger size. We spent one afternoon carefully stenciling and stamping all the new boxes with the updated dimensions. While it took some extra time, it was absolutely worth it.

The tumbler wasn’t our only shipping challenge. We also included a Pumpkin Spice Body Butter, which smelled amazing, but we were concerned about it potentially melting during transit. While melting wouldn’t ruin the product (it could be refrigerated and mixed to restore its texture), we wanted it to arrive in perfect condition. To be safe, we wrapped it with extra insulation and added a small ice pack. Luckily, it’s no longer summer, so this was likely overkill, but it gave us peace of mind.

According to customer feedback, all boxes arrived perfectly — no melting, no broken glass. The extra packaging effort was worth it, and it reminded us to be even more mindful of product dimensions and shipping considerations in the future.

This experience made me appreciate the simplicity of our box and how easily it can be adapted. Sometimes simple really is better.

Altogether, the October parcel carried a total product value of $72.

We included only four products this month, whereas in the past we’ve typically included five or six. We decided to focus on the higher-priced glass tumbler and the 8 oz body butter to create a more luxurious, autumnal vibe.
